Last Sunday was our first Sabbath day! This is something I’ve never practiced before coming here but I will definitely be doing from now on. We live such busy, fast paced lives it can be hard to remember to slow down sometimes. Just like we need water to stay hydrated, we need rest to stay focused and energized. Allowing yourself to rest (whether it’s for a day or a few hours) will help you remember His goodness. As you continue to read this blog I encourage you to ask God what you need in order to find rest & I assure you He will provide it.

Being in nature is where I feel God’s presence the most. As I was finding a spot to sit and spend time in His Word I came across the most beautiful butterfly. If you know me well you probably know I LOVE butterflies. Then as I sat down and began journaling I found my mind wandering off into doubt. Since I’ve been here I’ve heard many testimonies of healing and clear visions of His presence and I begin to doubt my own faith. I’ve never had a vision from God and I’ve never seen Him raise a man from the dead so why should I believe in Him? The answer then began clear to me- because He believes in me. He believed in us before we were even born. He created us each with our own purpose. Even if we don’t know our calling yet, He does! How cool is that! I wrote in my journal “Lord show yourself to me. Help me feel you. Help me hear you. Help me see you.” Then 2 caterpillars crawled towards me. I didn’t think much of it until I remembered the butterfly I saw earlier. Then another butterfly flew over me. The caterpillars and the butterflies remind me of growth and dependence on the Lord. They also remind me of His character. God created each caterpillar uniquely with their own size, shape, color, and purpose. If he created even the smallest creatures with such pure intentions how much more does he care for us? Even when you do not feel His presence He is there beside you. God listens and He wants us to ask Him for help. If there’s something you’re struggling to understand SEEK HIM. He will show up!

I am still fundraising & I appreciate any support! Please continue to pray that my team will grow in love and learn what it looks like to better minister. Thank you!

  1. LOVE THIS!! Yes! God always has purpose in the big and little things. We all have a calling and sometimes don’t even realize we’re living it. Love you, keep doing great things ??

  2. Yes, love butterflies too. We grow plants in our garden just to have butterflies. As the song goes, ‘if His eye is on the sparrow and I know He’s watching me’ from. Matt 10:29
