Wow God has been working through our squad so much the last month! We’ve been partnering with Samaritans Purse doing hurricane disaster relief in Louisiana. We spent our first week serving in Lake Charles and our second week in Deridder. Our day would begin with breakfast at 7am, followed by devotionals. We would leave the church around 8am and drive to whatever house we were working on for the day. Some houses took 2-3 days to clean up and other times we would work on several houses in 1 day. We would break for lunch at 12 and then continue working. We would typically leave our worksite at 5pm and be back to the church for dinner at 6! Then we had the rest of the evening to rest and reset for the next day. I’ll be posting a blog soon telling stories from Louisiana but here’s some photos for now!

Meet team Agape! My team for the next 7 months!

Praying over our leader Palmer (aka Papa P) before we left Lake Charles!

Thank you so much for all the support, hope you enjoyed this photo diary of our time in Louisiana! You can continue to be praying for my squad as we learn what it looks like to spread the Gospel around the world. I would love for you to partner with me in prayer and help me reach my next deadline. If you’d like to support my financially you can donate directly on my blog or venmo me @becca-engstrom-1

  1. Love this. I love the stories, but the pictures give such and added layer of what you all are doing!

Keep up the good works and showing your love for the Lord.
