Wow! How has 3 months gone by so fast? I can’t believe our time in Costa has come to a close. The Lord has taught me so much while being here. He’s shown me His character and intentionality, as well as my own purpose. Working with The Hope Project has been the biggest blessing! I’ve made so many friendships that I know will last a lifetime. This blog to to shoutout some of my new besties and give thanks to our Father! He is so good!

Pablo- Thanks for being so welcoming and bringing so much joy. I’ve loved hanging out with you everyday and getting to know all about your story. Some of my best memories are joking around during English Club and getting burritos for lunch every week. Our honorary Agape member!

Jose- Big homie! Another member of Agape! Our first day of ministry Jose took us to evangelize around the city and told us we would be his lil homies. Ever since then he’s made us feel so loved and protected- our bodyguard! We’ve lived getting to know you and laugh together in Dancehall. [Costa’s best dancer right here… literally though]

Micah & Melissa- Our ministry hosts! Micah led discipleship for us everyday and taught us so much about the Lord’s character.

Tyce, Ziza, Axle- Our ministry hosts children! My little siblings! These kiddos showed me SO much joy while being in Costa Rica. Since our first day at ministry they welcomed me with a big hug and started teaching me Spanish. Sweet Ziza introduced me to all of her friends and I got to introduce her to mine, she even facetimed Alessia!!

Luis- You’re so wise! I appreciate you always being there to check up on us and ask us how we’re really doing  You seek the Lord so much it spreads into everyone around you!

Ceci- Te amo mucho! Our Costa Rican mom! Always gives us the biggest hugs and best prayers (even when we don’t understand Spanish). We see how much the women you lead look up to you and experience the Lord through you!

Quique- Wow we love you so much! Thanks for protecting us and making sure we know our worth. I’ll always remember when we found out we were going to the DR and would need long skirts and you dropped everything to take us shopping.

Dani- You’re such a light to everyone around you and such a natural leader! I’ve loved getting to know you better and see how you worship the Father.

Rachel- Woohoo English Club! Thanks for teaching us how to have better patience and love others so well. So excited to see how Good keeps moving in your life.

Briana- You make everyone around you feel seen and accepted! So grateful for your dedication and help with our Beauty for Ashes retreats. We appreciate all you’ve done for us and how much you embrace the gifts we have from God!

Daniet- You’re so loved and valued! I’ve loved getting to know you even when my Spanish probably didn’t make much sense. You set such a great example for everyone around you. You are the best mother! Your children have shown me what it looks like to find beauty in the little things! I love them so so so much- my kiddos forever!!

Thank you God for these lifelong relationships! Update on the DR coming soon!

  1. Nice to see who you were with all those months in CR. What a sweet way to honor them and say goodbye.
